General Information

Daintree Wilderness Lodge proposes shop fashion lodging set right in the heart of the Heritage Listed Rainforests of the Daintree. With only seven cabins we can to propose vivacious and personalized amenities to every of our dear guests. The lodge proposes customers an authentic nature experience, with plenty of endemic wildlife living and being seen by customers. The cassowary is often spotted on our Nature Walk. We also have a delicious open-air pool which is encircled by Fan Palms and a wholly certificated Restaurant offering deluxe Australian Cuisine. Your cabin is extremely privately-owned, with individual boardwalks leading to every cabin. No adjoining walls and no highway hubbub - absolute stillness in the rainforest. With only seven cabins, it's secured it is stillness but booking is important. There also a lot of activities and excursions to do in the region which able to all be booked from our tour and data table, with local advice and customised itineraries for your personal preference.

Transportation

Daintree Wilderness Lodge is situated 2 hours north of Cairns in the Daintree National Park. We are north of the Daintree River and south of Cape Tribulation. (About 30minutes between both locations)When hiking from Cairns it's necessary to note that the highways wind via the rainforest and it's ultimate not to drive at night. We recommend customers to travel up in the day. Detailed Directions from Cairns: Follow the major highway out of Cairns, heading north. After approximately an hour you'll get to small city of Mossman. Approximately thirty minutes out of Mossman you'll find a sign indicating the FERRY CROSSING and directing you to Cape Tribulation. Take this turn-off to your right. Travel over the river by barge, driving your auto on to the barge. The cost is currently $19 return. Once you have crossed the river, you'll travel downhill for approximately 14km to reach us. Drive through Cow Bay township, cross over Hutchinson River and past a school on your right-hand side (Alexandra Bay Primary). Approximately 1km past the school, you'll uncover a roomy patch of lawn on your right. This is us. There is a capacious sign. Follow the gravel highway via the rainforest to our carpark. Stroll via the rainforest and we will greet you at reception desk.
