General Information

Absolute coast facade self contained lodging. Sandpiper Ocean Cottages are ideally situated just north of Bicheno on the East Coast of Tasmania. Set on four acres of natural waterside terraces, every house is privately-owned and roomy. A short meander via the dunes and you are able to stroll barefoot for miles on pristine white sand, fish from the coast or swim safely. The unparalleled sounds you will hear are the waves, the birds and the squeak of the sand as you stroll. The 3 two bedroom cottages sleep five or 6 persons conveniently and have full washhouse and kitchen amenities. They are ample and current interior, with commodious sunny verandas. A cozy log fire and the sounds of the sea produce for peaceful nights. For those wanting a bit more space and solitude, we have two more choices: The Beach House. A lovely three bedroom, two bathroom cottage with attractive ocean vistas and its own coast access. It sleeps up to eight persons. The Lake House - an administrative two bedroom home on 80 acres, also right on the coast. We're at the foot of the Bicheno Golf Club and Douglas Apsley National Park and half an hour away from Freycinet National Park and the iconic Wineglass Bay. The Bay of Fires is only an hour to the north. And being a fishing countryside, we have some of one of the best seafood on propose here in Bicheno. Sandpiper Ocean Cottages is the ideal place to unwind, rest and be inspired.

We are situated right on Denison Beach just seven kilometres north of Bicheno on the Tasman Highway.
