General Information

The Whitecrest Resort Apollo Bay is situated near Great Ocean Road in Apollo Bay. Local sights comprise the 12 Apostles and Shipwreck Coast, the Otway Fly treetop stroll, and Otway Rainforest. The Whitecrest Resort Apollo Bay is next to most of the area’s park amusements. There are buses that go to Geelong and Warrnambool which stop at the Visitor Information Centre or visitors can see districts further away with a rental auto.

The Whitecrest Resort Apollo Bay is consists of fully self contained one, 2 and 3 bedroom rooms. Units feature privately-owned balconies with barbeque grills, ocean vistas, thermal baths, gas log fires, washhouse amenities, air conditioning, TV with Austar, DVD/VCR players, CD players, Internet access, and full kitchens, including dishwashers, microwaves, gas ovens and stoves. The hotel offers linens, towels, bathroom products, and a choice of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and milk. All of the suites are nonsmoking.

Transportation

Driving instructions from Melbourne by means of The Great Ocean Rd - Follow the M1 to Geelong, As you approach Geelong visit in the right hand lanes (still the M1) and follow the signs to Colac and The Great Ocean Road ie: (Geelong By-Pass). At the end of the Geelong By-Pass turn right onto the Princess Highway (at Waurn Ponds). After the following set of traffic lights turn immediately left at roundabout signposted to Anglesea and The Great Ocean Road C134. Continue through Freshwater Creek and Bellbrae following the signs to Angelsea; where the highway now becomes the 'Great Ocean Road'. Keep driving towards Lorne. Continue for approx 35 minutes through 3 townships all ending in the word 'river' ie: Wye River, Kennett River and Grey River (popular koala spot). About 6 min drive further from Grey River by means of 'Sugarloaf' - Whitecrest is on the right hand side, is well sign posted with white flags at the lobby. Trainbus: Travel to Geelong by Rail from Southern Cross (Spencer St) Station. The V-Line McHarry's Bus departs Geelong Railway Station 4 times daily and stops at Wongarra. Driving from Adelaide Warrnambool - follow the Great Ocean Road till Apollo Bay. Continue north along the Great Ocean Rd towards Lorne. Whitecrest is 12 kilometers from Apollo Bay (about ten minutes drive). Drive through Skenes Creek, followed by Wongarra. Whitecrest is on the left approx two km passed the 'Sunnyside Road' turn off.
