General Information

La vecchia Cantina is a 19th century antique farmhouse, which has just been fully rejuvenated and converted into a holiday hotel. It's situated in Colombarone, Canneto Pavese, in the center of the Oltrepo Pavese mountains, well-known due to its distinct wines. This holiday hotel is located on the hilltops quilted with vines, facing the Padana flatland above Broni. From the bedrooms, the verandah, the park or the swimming pool you are able to enjoy beautiful views over the Cicognola Castle, the Rocca di Stradella and the remains of the Montue’ palace. From the scenic terrace on the 2nd floor of La Vecchia Cantina Guest House, the vistas get to as far as Piacenza and the Tortonesi mountains. You are able to see in the far away distance the skyline of Milan and the grand Alps. You are able to spend hours admiring the tranquil village while relaxing with a glass of Metodo Classico wine. Don’t be surprised whether hares, boars or squirrels are running in the fields surrounding. La vecchia Cantina proposes bedrooms on a bed & breakfast basis and self-catering rooms. There is a spacious park with a children’s play region, a scenic swimming pool and private car park spaces. Breakfast is catered in a typical breakfast room facing the village or on the ensuite verandah, where you can have a rest while having an aperitif and example the local make (on request).
